Electric Orange and Sand Quilt

$2,500.00

70X90"

This size is big enough to go atop a queen bed and perfect for you to curl up with another adult.

This unique quilt is handmade by me in the central highlands of Washington State. I dont use patterns and every quilt I make is spontaneous and composed as it is created. I began this quilt in the Spring of 2024 after driving from my cabin down to my mothers home in Prescott, Arizona.  I spent time in Santa Fe, the Bears Ears National Monument, and 29 Palms on this road trip too.  The design of this quilt was a response to the radical landscape along the way.  Ochre, umber, bone, sand electric orange, neon pink, the colors of the rocks, flowers, and sky are so far out.  This one turned out rad.

All of my quilts are made with 2nd hand fabrics sourced from the fashion and interior design industries as well as vintage shops and estate sales. This way I get fabrics unavailable to anyone else and give some rad old fabrics a new life for you to love! The fabrics may carry a visual history of their previous life (wear marks in a pair of old jeans or the red wine stain of a linen tablecloth). These choices are intentional, showing the character of the journey of the fabric.

All of my quilts are intended to be used.  They can of course be hung on a wall but I make them to be slept under or picnicked on top of.  I wash the one on my bed yearly in the  washing machine on cold and gentle, then line dry it and toss it in the dryer quickly to fluff it.  I don't recommend doing it more regularly than this.  It is well constructed but still it is handmade.  Contains Cotton, Linen and Cotton Poly blended fabrics.  100% cotton mid weight batting inside. Do not dry clean.

I love everything I make and I hope you do too.
